Band of the Week: JILS

Celebrating their 13th anniversary this year, JILS have been special to me for a while. Not special as in "I'm in love with these guys" or "I fangirl over them or their music". Special as in, they provide a certain calmness that I can only find in them.
(For those who don't know me, I'm a huge Chachamaru fan (guitarist/producer for GACKT), but even his music doesn't do this for me. I guess it's too dreamy.)

So without further ado: JILS.

Top Row: Yukiya (vo), Hideyoshi (drum)
Bottom Row: Ichiro (Gt), Shunsuke (Gt)
This is only the current line-up, though, if I'm not mistaken. And I have no idea why Shunsuke decided to look so cranky in his picture. Oh well. Because he can, probably. See, that's what I love about this band, they remind me of David Bowie: the public may not agree, but whatever they'll do it anyway.

Actually, the album I like the most is their most recent one: LAST [SAD SONGS]

Maybe I'm turning into a bit of an emo, haha. It's not so much that I like sad music, it's just that JILS's sad music calms me down to the point where I just want to go to sleep even if it's 4 in the afternoon. It's just that relaxing to me.

Maybe that's just me though.
Please have a listen for yourself:
