Today I will introduce you
to a fairly new band. Plunklock made their debut last year in March,
but they already have quite the fanbase here in Europe. Their
European tour earlier this year was maybe a risky decision, but it
paid off in the end. Their European street teams are quite large, if
you take into consideration that Plunklock is only an indie band.
Similar bands are A (エース)
and Diaura.
Since there's not much of
band history this will be a very short review. But I can tell a
little about the performance I saw this year in Amsterdam. The
concert took place at the Winston hotel in a very small room, but
that gave it a nice and intimate atmosphere. The band members were
all nice and they had a great energy on stage. Especially Pinky, the
drummer, made an impact. Even if he was sitting in the back, he
managed to interact with the public and put a smile on everyone's
face. Vocalist Halo managed to get the fans involved by shouting and
singing along. At the end of the night I was really glad that I
decided to go see them. Plunklock really surprised me!
